Company historyReports of the first phone in Tashkent refer to 1887, when the installation for connection was made between the apartment of the head of postal and telephone and Tashkent district postal-Telegraph office. On may 11, 1901, the Ministry of Internal Affairs made basic conditions for installation and operation of fixed phones by individuals. In July of that year a meeting of the Tashkent city Council was held and the Decision to adopt the draft concerning the construction of the city telephone network was made.
In early January, 1904 the Head of the Turkestan Postal-Telegraph district contracts with the Tashkent city Department for construction telephone messaging for general use in the city. Only on September 7, 1904 the act of reception for the first 300 numbers was received, which is located in the building of the city Council. The first telephone station was manual control "connection" at the local battery.
In 1914, in the city of Tashkent there were already 942 subscribers and 5 phones installed in passenger railway station, in the Town Administration, the trademark office high speed, on the resurrection market and commercial stations at a low speed".
On September 8, 1932, the first automatic machine telephone station - B3 for 5,000 numbers was put into operation. This station for nearly 30 years, was the only one in Tashkent. Then its number capacity has increased to 10,000 numbers. In the years of the Second World War ATS-B3 has assumed the responsibility for maintenance of evacuated from the front areas of factories. The phone worked at the hospital where the wounded were treated, in children's homes. In these extreme conditions GTS clearly served the people and the needs of the state bodies of power and administration.
During the earthquake of 1966 and liquidation of its consequences, the workforce of Tashkent GTS withstood difficult exam on the strength, courage and professionalism
Tashkent telephone network in the years of independence.
Fundamental changes have occurred since gaining independence of Uzbekistan.
The communication workers launched a major development projects, modernization, replacement of obsolete equipment, implementation of new types of equipment and advanced technologies.
In 1991 there were 25% of ten-step stations, 75% coordinated with the total number capacity 382,6 thousand. The existing network could not cope with the load. In 1992 the first in the city of Tashkent electronic ATS-16 per 10,000 numbers was built and put into operation.
In 2000 having data network, a branch office of "TSHTT" started to provide new kinds of services of data transmission and Internet. Using network equipment of the leading companies in the world telecommunication market and modern technology, the data network was able to deliver any kind of traffic.
At present the works on installation of the remote digital hub with a capacity of 1000 numbers on the following ATS: ATS -43 (numbering 3935"), ATS-29 (numbering 3998"), ATS 72 (numbering 3632"), ATS-170 (numbering 3633"), ATS-51 (numbering "1150"), array Stroiteley district of about 2,000 numbers (numbering 1153" and "1154"), array kuylyuk-Obvodnaya (numbering 1958 and 1959") are held.
It should be noted that at replacement of ATS for EATS all phones will have an individual number and a specific line from the ATS. New electronic EATS on will become become irreplaceable with their capacities: remind you about the time of the meeting, connect children with mothers on pick-up without dialing, older people will be connected to the pharmacy, if you are on another phone forwards the call to the phone, the phone will allow simultaneously talk to two subscribers or by turns and so on.
The specialists of " Uzbektelecom" and branch office of TShTT are developing new projects for the modernization ATS.
The network of the Tashkent GTS used the principle providing for the creation of a universal transport system, organically combining network resources, which perform the functions of information transmission and control (switching operations, backup and others). Transport system with the use of modern technologies is the basis for all existing and planned services, intellectual, personal and other networks, cellular and alternative operators.
The basic parameters of development of the Tashkent city telephone network are carried out in accordance with the National program of development of telecommunication networks of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to the documents modernization and replacement of automatic telephone EATS will be carried out with increasing dynamism and by 2010 the network will be fully digital.
Dismantled station so-called analog systems ADDS and " ATSK has largely worn out, and at this stage when replacing partially used to provide spare parts operating equipment, and after determining the special Commission on the performance and features of application of this or that equipment, the remaining metal disposed of in accordance with established procedure.
Paying for communication services, you use the Automated system of estimation, the main advantages of which are openness and transparency. The telephone communication service payment is realized in design offices of telephone units and the ATS, in post offices, banks, authorized to receive the above-mentioned payment. The receipt of payment of communication services must be kept for three years. Payment for services of local, intercity and international telephony is:
- immediately after their delivery;
- not later than the invoice date.
Payment is realized according to the rates applicable at the moment of rendering of services. At change of tariffs payment is made according to the old tariffs till the moment of publication of the announcement about the change of tariffs. Since the publication of new tariffs payment is made by the newly introduced. Payment for the rendered services shall be performed in the following terms:
- the subscription fee for use of local telephone connection is made not later than the last date of the design (current) months;
- the fee for local (at introduction of time-based pay system) intercity and international telephone communication is made within 15 days upon the end of the billing period.
If you pay in advance local telecommunication services, repayment of the advance payment amount is made in the following sequence:
- The subscription fee for use of telephone communication;
- Time-based fee for each full or incomplete minute, above the limit of 180 minutes per month;
- Payment for additional services;
- Other services provided by the Operator and open for all subscribers: intellectual, password-free access to the data transmission network and Internet access services to information resources, etc.
With the increase of tariffs for these services, automated payment system deducts the cost of the provided services of the amount available in your account at the old tariffs until the end of funds. At the end of funds, payment for services is done at new rates. Automated payment system saves your time, money and transparency of relations with the company.
It must be emphasized that in the present the specialists of the branch office of TShTT "Uzbektelecom" together with the specialists of the branch "Toshkent pochtamt" AK "Uzbekistanpochtasi" carry out significant work on connecting post offices to the data network and billing TShTT in order to improve customer service on payment for communication services, reducing time to pay, the ability to simultaneously pay for different services including utilities and other in one place and not far from the house.
At the conclusion of contracts with the companies that won the tender for modernization and replacement of ATS in accordance with established procedure, the conditions and terms of payment are conferred. Payment by large contracts are made within a few years mainly due to own funds of "Uzbektelecom" and branch office of TShTT, in some cases provided by Bank loans and investments.
